RTCC - 2012

Dear Family and Friends,

As most of you know, last year I rode in The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting The Campbell Family Institute at The Princess Margaret, and I’m so glad that I did. The Ride was not only an amazing experience, but it raised $16.1 million to support cancer research and treatments, and a lot of you played a key role in that accomplishment (Thank you, thank you, thank you)!!

After such a great experience last year, I have decided to step it up a little more and will be cycling over 320km from Toronto to Niagara Falls, with thousands of other riders in 2012! I’ve agreed to raise at least $2,500 – which tends to give me sleepless nights. So here’s where you come in, because I need your help!!! Use the link at the bottom of this email to go visit my webpage, and please take the time to support me. Please keep in mind the commitment I'm making to end this heartbreaking disease and the personal efforts I'll have to make to accomplish this. The event will be taking place June 9-10, 2012 which may seem like a long time from now, but in order to meet my goal I need to start fundraising today.

I appreciate all of your help and thank you in advance for your generosity!
Lots of Love,
Erin

They Daily Love

Gratitude is truly the main anchor in my personal life. I have trained myself to focus on the good in any situation. In my Heart of Hearts, I believe that everything in my life, every moment, is here to support me, whether it be to help me learn more about myself, or to create better boundaries or to be more understanding. I trust so deeply that my entire life supports me. Those times when I don’t feel supported, I close my eyes, take a big deep breath — in through the nose and out slowly through my mouth — and positively affirm, “Everything in my life supports me.” I keep my eyes closed until I receive the clarity of how the situation, person or circumstance being placed in front of me is here to support my growth. I have so much to be grateful for.

May we allow ourselves to be inspired and to know, in our Hearts, our dreams are always living. May we remember we have the gift of a body and mind to choose actions to make those dreams come alive. We are no more or less entitled to our dreams than any other person on this planet. We must have the courage to embrace what we want and move forward. We must stop blaming our past, our parents and situations for why we feel incapable or unable. We must grow up and put our big girl panties or big boy boxers on. Everything in our lives is given to us to support us on our journey. This is a blessed life we live. This life is a gift and we must not waste it.We must never ever forget to focus on the things to be grateful for.

Peaks

Went snowboarding, did yoga, and hiked the hill both days, spent time with my fam (Jodie, Kev, Steph, Dave and Mitchell), ran into old friends and enjoyed Georgian Peaks to its fullest this past weekend. Pure bliss!! Nothing better than that on a lovely winter weekend!! xo

Awesome

So I bought myself the Book of Awesome. Yes I thought it was a little cheesy but since I grew up on "Chicken Soup of the Soul" I thought this would be right up my alley. Here is one that made me laugh.

#93 (of 1000 things that are Awesome) Making it through airport security without any beepsAwesome!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! After having a wirl wind week with teaching up to the very last minute to then wake up at 3am to head to the airport Saturday morning...I could not be happier waking up in Florida and spending a great Christmas morning with my family. May everyones day be filled with love, laughter and family. (Thought this was a cute pic) Here's to a fantastic and relaxing two weeks ahead. Namaste :)

Stars

“The stars don’t have to align, they already have! They’ve aligned in such a way that has created life on this planet. Success and failure are within us. We are born with a purpose in our heart that will never leave us alone. It’s our choice to embrace that purpose and let our hearts and happiness guide us or to make a lower choice and let our fears of failure or success squash what we know in our soul to be true. The only “star” that has to align is our inner constellation of trust. Trust your heart, trust that what makes you happy will always provide for you, and trust that the Universe is whispering your wildest dreams to you and that it will always support you when you are following your heart. The stars don’t have to align, they already have! Now trust them!”

You Haven't Lost Your Place

Sometimes when life shifts and changes, it can feel like we've lost out place.
During those times when our lives are changing, we may feel out of tune, out of rhythm, out of balance. Out of step. Maybe an old feeling is surfacing, clearing, so that we can learn something new and move forward to a new place. Maybe our attention is being diverted to a new focus so we can find and experience another lesson. Sometimes the form or shape of our life is changing dramatically. The old picture is being erased so a new one can be drawn. Familiar people are leaving; new people are entering. We may ache, feel irritable, and doubt the course of our entire journey. We may doubt whether the magical way we were living was even real and whether the magic will ever return.
Let the changes happen. Take extra loving care of yourself. Be attentive to what you need. The magic isn't gone; it hasn't disappeared. You're just going through a shift. That means things are moving, and movement is good.
For now it may feel like you can't
find your place, but that's because
your place is changing.
