1. The Toronto Marathon
Before I begin I worked my tail off for this race (with the help of my running partner Katie!) We had been running since June, and I felt much stronger than I did for the Mississauga race and knew that qualifying for the Boston could be possible. Of course 2 days before the weekend, I feel my super weak immune system acting up and I feel sick all day Saturday...just before the race. So I ate Tylenol Cold like it was candy and told myself I was going to race no matter what (well i did have doubts). I pushed myself to the limits and was so proud of myself for what I had accomplished (sorry i am on my podium)...and so proud of the people around me! (Steph did her first half and kicked ass!!). Now that the race is over and I have allowed it to all sink in...I wish I had 33 faster seconds in me as I would have qualified!! Rats! Oh well, it wasn't meant to be. Qualifying time = 3:40:59 and I got = 3:41:32. It is such an amazing feeling though to say done and done. My next challenge for this year will be a full length triathlon. I am jumping in the pool Thursday morning with my neighbour! Ah!

2. My first 7 week placement
Today I had to say good bye to the 29 students in my grade 4 class and my amazing associate teacher Mrs. D. I have had such an amazing experience at Lp and hope that my life path guides me right back into that school soon. I even felt like a real teacher today as I received my first Ms. Bryce teacher presents from all the kids. If I haven't said this enough, I am so happy about my decision of re-evaluating my life and going into teaching, it's such a rewarding career! This Friday will mark the first day of my second 7 week placement and as time always does, the weeks will fly by and in no time I will be an official teacher.
