No longer born on a cusp
More procrastination...sooo things are a changing...as I am sure all of you have heard a group of astronomers have decided that now is the time to include the 13 zodiac sign that has always been looked over: Ophiuchus. Interesting. Though I have never been huge into horoscopes I have always somewhat had in my mind that I was both a Gemini and Taurus. I was born on a cusp yet I would always relate more to the Gemini characteristics. But since times have changed, I am officially a Taurus. Not sure how I feel about that, but can learn to adapt I guess?!?! I just didn't think it was possible to change the dates of zodiac signs. Here are the new dates:
Capricorn: Jan. 20 - Feb. 16
Aquarius: Feb. 16 - March 11
Pisces: March 11- April 18
Aries: April 18- May 13
Taurus: May 13- June 21
Gemini: June 21- July 20
Cancer: July 20- Aug. 10
Leo: Aug. 10- Sept. 16
Virgo: Sept. 16- Oct. 30
Libra: Oct. 30- Nov. 23
Scorpio: Nov. 23- Nov. 29
Ophiuchus: Nov. 29- Dec. 17
Sagittarius: Dec. 17- Jan. 20
I was looking up online what a Taurus is all about and came across what it is like to date the new me...a Taurus woman. oh dear!
What it's like to date a Taurus Woman: Taurus women are masters in the art of seduction. She will get what she wants but her patience is incredible, she will wait for what she wants. She needs stability and security and will not tolerate a man who is not straight with her and leads her along with uncertainty in the future. She is the old-fashioned type, the type of woman who is associated with the drive-in soda shop days of the 60's. She is down to earth, protective, supportive, loving, devoted and loyal. She is openly affectionate in a relationship. Taurus women is perfect for the man who likes to be nurtured and pampered, providing you are loyal and devoted. She has a lot to give but she requires a lot in return. Remember, the Taurus woman is very sensitive although she might not seem so on the exterior. Court her and constantly try to impress her and you will win her heart and she will be yours. Cross a Taurus woman, and her temper will flare, she will become extremely stubborn. If you ever break her trust, it will be nearly impossible to gain it back again.
ps. I already miss being a Gemini. sigh

easy peasy banana bread
So I dable at cooking...I don't mind it if it's easy and I know it tastes good. The other day I made banana bread that was fantastic (If I don't say so myself) and have just put another pan into the oven using our over ripe bananas and since I am procrastinating from writing report cards I thought I should share for all of you out there that wants to 'bake' but that doesn't require too much effort. I got the recipe from simplyrecipies.com but I made some alterations to it to make it a bit more healthy. Here goes:
Banana Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 to 4 ripe bananas - smashed
- 1/3 cup of coconut oil
- 1 cup of cane sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cup of spelt flour
Method:
No need for a mixer for this recipe. Preheat oven to 350F. With a wooden spoon, mix coconut oil into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl. Mix in the cane sugar, egg and vanilla. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over mixture and mix in. Add the spelt flour last, mix. Pour mixture into a coconut oil greased loaf pan (I also sprinkle on a bit of cinnamon just before putting into oven). Bake for 1 hour. Cool on rack. Remove from pan and voila! Tastes delish!

reflection
Soo it feels as if I have lost my posting groove. Hmm?! Moving into Toronto with Chris I have found a new daily routine....I wake up at 6, head to work for 7, arrive home at 5, pack up my gym things, head to the gym for either Yoga, Boxing, Spinning, weights or cardio and get back at 8...to then make din, put up my feet at 9 to watch a taped show to finally jump into bed - shooting for 10pm. Yes that is my new daily routine, and I do love it BUT I have yet to figure out how to add into the mix my various meditating hobbies (knitting, reading and posting)...which I feel to be an important part of who I am...so my new years resolution is this...figure out how to fit it all in..before I may have to fit in even more (puppy hopefully soon...wink wink). Anywhooooo my Christmas break was fantastic! Though Chris and my mom were sick and I had some sort of bug I still managed to appreciate all that we did! Muskoka for Bryce Christmas...always my favourite!, Ottawa with the Carriere crew where Crista made me feel at home and fed a crew of us a delish meal! Annnd Aspen. I would totally recommend going boarding/skiing there. The town is straight from a movie and was picture perfect. I was in awe! High of my holiday was and is the ever growing connection that Chris and I are creating xo
